If you have a user that has PUID/PGID, remove the # in front of those two lines. That just doesn't work the way you have it laid out. And yes, since you want to use an existing DAC with s/pdif input, you will need a s/pdif hat. There are several suitable operating systems for such a setup, including piCorePlayer and Moode. You need a SqueezeBox alternative, such as a Raspberry Pi running Squeezelite. If your music is scattered throughout the root directory, you're probably going to want to get it under 1 directory, as apparently lms wants RO access on your config and music folders, and RW access on your Playlist folder. Logitech Media Server (formerly SlimServer, SqueezeCenter and Squeezebox Server) is a streaming audio server supported by Logitech (formerly Slim Devices). Your Logitech Media Server/SqueezeBox use the SlimProto protocol, not DLNA. Give your Raspberry Pi a minute or so to power up and connect to your local network. Insert the SD card into your Raspberry Pi, attach a wired ethernet connection, and plug in the power.

Only thing I'm really not sure on given the way you posted this, is #12. Connect the Raspberry Pi and Initial Configuration.
